Welcome, millennials of all ages. Growing up in the 90s and early 2000s was peak childhood. Many of us were not completely free of technology in our youth, but the tech available at the time was much simpler and so much less addicting. Most millennials can say that they had their childhoods had the perfect balance of outdoor play and technological activities. Sure, we all spent hours caring for our online Neopets, chatting on AOL instant messenger, and playing Flash-powered dress-up doll games, but we spent just as much time using our imaginations outside. While parents may have thought we were wasting hours in front of the TV watching Lizzie McGuire and the PowerPuff Girls, we at least didn't have the aability to choose whatever we wanted to watch on demand like the kids these days; we had to comply with whatever the cable gods had to offer us.
